My second guitar attempt.
This is my second attempt at a Tin guitar, this time a 6 string. Swamp Kauri neck and head stock with double action truss rod, the body is a rolled oats tin I scavenged from my local recycle centre. I once again jumped in way over my head and to be honest I nearly downed this time, it really pushed me to the limits of my skill set, I had to do the fret board twice and even then made a bit of a pigs ear of the fret installation, I also didn't get the bridge position quite right and at the time of posting this I have still yet to rectify it (a year latter) I also need to install a pick up and some sort of stabilisation for the body back as it has a habit of bulging in and out and making a horrible boinking noise... in saying this it's still is a lovely guitar and a reminder of how far I have come. I've already started my next build... a much simpler uke from a "Sure to rise" baking powder tin (watch this space) I have real respect for the great luthiers out there after having a crack myself, some of you guys are seriously talented and give me a worthwhile bar to aim for. Cheers.
