Welcome to the Forum. If you have a look at the section below, "Similar Threads", you will see this is not uncommon. There are a couple of things you can try in the first thread which may help. Good luck.
The speed controller can't be repaired if it is faulty and needs to be replaced. They have to be ordered from tritontools.uk or Toolsparesonline both in England and are easy to replace. No-one is Australia currently holds spare parts for Triton.
If it's stuck on full speed it's probably not such a big issue as most router bits 1" and under should run at full speed anyway. Most people who have trouble with speed controllers have problems with the speed surging up and down, not just a constant fast speed. A replacement controller is going to cost you somewhere up around the $100 mark just for the part and if you have to get someone to install it there will be extra costs.
My tra001 speed control has been all over the show
I was waiting for toolsparesonline to get more controllers in stock, in the mean time I tried crimping up the connectors
adjacent to the control module - problem solved
it may not be the answer to a lot of cases but it worked for me
might be worth a look
cheers

I addressed this problem by thorough cleaning of this controller
