Red Cedar Box
Hi all, Bit of a different design. Red Cedar from Mummulgum in northern NSW. Milled about 10 years ago from a fairly young tree. (about 80 years old) The colour changes from heart to sapwood, grain is noticeably more open compared to "old growth" timber.

Tried out doing dovetail miter keys, 3 degree slope with the lid the same dimensions as the base.

Nice work. Great timber, especially the fiddleback on the lid panel.

nice job
really like the arches between the feet which is something I've been experimenting with
red cedar is a beautiful timber and the grain on the top confirms that
I'm still trying to work out how big it is

Very nicely done - like it :2tsup:
