A bit of a skite about my old tool finds over the last 2 weeks
I’ve had a real win with 3 old tool purchases in 2 weeks. I’ll show only the tools that are the cream of the crop.
A tool caddy, $40 bucks. 2 Ward, 1 x Amsdick (?), a Marples and 2 Titan chisels of good length, 2 bench hooks, and an E Presons and sons wooden level, complete and will clean up well.
Box of old tools, $100. I bought this for the 29” Spear and Jackson thumbhole saw. I think I’ll be able to clean it and have a very good etch. Other picks from the box are an Alex Mathieson and son 17” jointer. The tapered blade and matching cap iron are great, with 2” of useable blade. 2 nice length Titan chisels, a nice Hale Bros chisel and a Small Charles Taylor gouge, a new in box Ixion hand drill and a good condition Stanley one, with a mixed bag of old maker bits. 26” Rip saw, can’t see a makers mark.
Tool box, $130. Robt Sorby steel backed Tenon saw, mystery steel backed tenon saw, Disson saw, PPW Poland breast drill with mixed bag of old maker bits.
