German Car Parks
Just had this sent to me
This is pretty amazing! Can you imagine how all this operates?
How do they lock each car in its cubicle for safety. talk about German efficiency!
The two photos below were taken at a new parking garage in Munich.
The actual space that the facility occupies is approximately only 20% of a comparable facility with the traditional design that is used primarily
in the US. Not only is the German structure less expensive to build, but vehicles are also "retrieved" in less time and without the potential of being damaged by an Attendant.

Fred,
the VW factory has a similar set up. It would be a very secure way of parking your car as theives would have a devil of a time trying to get to the cars. However I can just picture what would happen if there was a power cut at 5pm when everybody wants to get their car out. Just wondering too, while it may be quicker to get an individual car out only one can be moving at a time so it may not be faster during a peak period (say 5pm) when there's a whole load of cars wanting to leave at once. Man I'm glad I don't live or work anywhere that requires parking at a parking station.

Hmm, none of those spots seem big enough for a Falcon and, knowing my luck, if I forgot to put on the hand brake, I'd be slated for the top floor that day
Where's the value in a carpark without all that screeching tyres
