is it compatible?
does anyone know if i can use a mk 3 extension table with a series 2000 work centre?
i have a triton mk3 saw bench with the extension table.
i have been offered a series 2000 workcentre with a router table and biscuit joiner for a good price.
the only problem is it doesn't come with the extension table.
if anyone is interested in the biscuit joiner i would probably sell that attachment if i buy it.

I've just bought and am midway through assembling my 2000. I was hoping that the MK3 table would be compatible, but it looks redundant to me. The 2000 has a roller set up (that I haven't got yet).
So far the 2000 seems to be a shed load better unit so if I can't make good use of the old side table I will b putting it on eBay witht he MK3.
My advice is "Go for the 2000" I think you will be a happy camper once you do.

I found the table useful as an assembly table and as an extension table in front because the height was adjustable. I have now got rid of my Mk3, my 2000, my roller extension table and router table top but kept my old Mk3 extension table because it folds up and makes an adjustable assembly and outfeed table for my tablesaw. It is now quite old but still good and useful and folds up and I hang the table top on a wall out of the way.
It turned out to be my most useful piece of triton gear!

Hmmm... I've got the MkIII extension table I use as a fold-away assembly table.
I also have the WC2K.
To date, I haven't actually gotten around to trying to pair the two together. :B I guess I should just so I know for sure, one way or t'other, before I find have the need to find out...

the 2000 i've been offered comes with some kind of roller setup which i haven't looked at as yet.
looked at most of the other bits and pieces and have decided to get it (pick it up tomorrow).
is $600 for everything a good price? (all have been hardly used)

I can only add to this my MK3 extension table is a great fold away table for all sorts of things, and the sliding exetension table for the WC2000 is the bees knees
Thats my lot:U

I got my new work centre assembled this arvo and the old table isn't perfectly compatible. Not that I am saying that it isn't still very useful. it is a little wider than the new work centre and doesn't clamp on. So it's measuring function won't be accurate now. I think I will keep it as it is a proper table and adjustable in height as well. The roller set up you mention is the newer piece of kit.
Does it come with a saw for that price?
I paid just over $600 for my 2000 set up on Saturday at the wood work show in Melbourne, got a superjaws, a new stand thingoe and an adjuster thing that fits onto the saw mount for all that. There was a bit of show discount in the deal as well so I think I did alright.
There is an offer of $100 rebate if you take your old MK3 to Mitre 10. But I think I will put it on Ebay and see how I go. If i get more than $100 for it I might bite the bullet and buy the Triton saw to match all my new toys up!

$600 is a nice price if it comes with the router table, bisuit joiner, etc. that you've mentioned.
I wouldn't call it a "real bargain," but 'tis still quite a bit cheaper than buying new. :2tsup:
