resawn veneer onto plywood
I have a piece of jarrah veneered 19mm plywood that is too dark for my project. My plan is to resaw some jarrah of a more suitable colour, dress it back to about 1mm and apply it to the plywood. I am not sure of the best technique to use here given the thickness of the veneer. Should I butt joint the veneer then glue it onto the ply, or go right ahead and glue each piece of veneer straight onto the ply. Also, given that both sides of the ply have been jarrah veneered is it necessary to re veneer the back side with the thicker veneer.
