hey guys
Two queries:
1 - A few weeks ago got a small job that needed some shelves and cabinet doors to be made up, so I thought I'd buy myself a table saw. Went down to BigB who only had a limited variety. Had no choice so I purchased a Ryobi, (yes I know, not a big fan either), table saw. Big B has two types available so I purchased the smaller one. Haven't been too impressed as it is very limited in what sizes it can take. Since then, you could say, regreted my purchase. Therefore I was wondering if anybody out there can suggest where I could buy a decent table saw that can take a decent size board, or decent tools at a decent price. I'm not a professional but I like to do a profeesional job. Apparently Triton used to be good but I missed out...
2 - not long ago I went back to Big B and noticed something strange. After reading a post from a member about BigB and Ryobi "getting cosy", I noticed that a few of the Ryobi products have gone up in price, approx $50.00 in fact. My table saw went up by @ $50 and a compound saw a mate bought went up by about the same. I didn't bother looking at others because I was you could say "annoyed". I don't know, is it just me or is BigB pushing other people's buttons. I would be interested in knowing the reasoning behind it all other than greed.
Please enlighten...........
