Not usre if it has a hairline or not - the edge...
Not usre if it has a hairline or not - the edge of the sheer is bright metal, but the rest is dull... looks like some rust on it, but I couldn't be sure - I can see more in this photo than the naked...

I don't think I could use the carbatec morse...
I don't think I could use the carbatec morse taper again anyway - the end is sheered off inside. :(

Mine completely sheered off inside the taper - it looks like a bad rod (cheap chinese casting I guess) - however I doubt I could ever prove that - but don't want to buy another only for it to happen...
