I'm quite new to woodworking, but have some small tassie oak units that are ready for finishing.

Was thinking of using a Danish oil, as I won't to keep the pieces quite light...

Well, I would ideally like to do this with a jointer. The carbatec 13" spiral head says that it is quieter. How quiet? I am in a suburban area haha

Does anyone have an opinion on these units?

A combination unit sounds good, however, i was hoping to thickness at least 300mm, which standalone devices can do, but combi's are generally smaller?
