Can someone help I have been turning bowls , boxes etc. and doing what i was shown years ago, sanding to fine wiping with metho.applying up to 3 coats of shellac, sanding with 400 or oooo steelwool ...

Thanks i stripped the headstock off bed today and found a hairline crack in the front of the housing below the bearing . i had already heated the pulley but there was no movement hence the head...

the bearings in a leady lathe i purchased 10 years ago i have it all stripped and all grub screws etc. removed but can not get the pulleys to slide. can any one help.
