Went to Tweed heads M&T Walker machine shop. 2006 Jet 1442VS made in Taiwan....Spindle thread is 1"x 10TPI BSF not 1"x 8 as per the manual. ...

Brand new vicmarc (stamped 1 X 8)
taking to Machine Shop to check next week.....

Definitely Right hand thread, I'm thinking it may be 1 X 10
Machine shop on Monday..... will find out.

Lathe is 2006 The manual says Spindle size is 1" X 8tpi but Vicmarc 1X8 chuck insert doesn't fit....

I don't think I can get an adaptor for your M33 threads

My Jet 1442 Lathe has a 1" x 8 thread
I looked at the Vicmarc site and they have two types direct threaded and insert type....
can I use an adaptor on this chuck?
