Yeah man - it really escalates. My furniture projects are on hold while my DC system takes the lead - reminds me of every task I've ever taken on...
Lots of planning, lots of prep, minimal time...

And here's the unit mounted to the wall.

Yet to make the shared overhead duct for the router / table saw.
Yet to make the bench / hood for the drop saw.

The branch the runs to the underside of...

Here's the bell mouth port I made to replace the flange that came with the unit.
I laminated a few bits of MDF after profiling them with my trimmer.
Then I used a spoke shave to profile, sanded...

Here's the component I made by cutting the original section of duct between the impeller cowl (terminology?) and the wye junction.
I heated the PVC with a chef's burner and knocked the plywood jig...

I know a few loopholes within the NCC / Town Plan, so I managed to get my Shed/House through council all legit like.
Now I can play on my table saw / drum kit until the wee hours with only my lady...

I was kinda aiming for 1000CFM - I'd have been stoked if I could get that at the table saw / drop saw.
Seems unlikely as I've got ducting...

I see that later in your thread you upgraded to a new Laguna DC. How does it compare?
Makes me wonder if the cheaper unit is worthwhile if you upgraded your system so soon...

The shop (and our house) is in a set of industrial sheds. Car park is common property so can't have the DC outside....

After months reading and re-reading this forum, I have hatched a plan.

My thinking is to use parts from the most powerful 10A DC I can find, which is the Carbatec DC2300P and Frankenstein them...
