This Petter Fielding engine is being restored for a working heritage museum in South Africa, possibly built between 1937 and some time after WW11.

Hi Mountain Ash and Cava, The wooden handleditems are Peavey hooks, similar items but without the metal points are Cant hooks.

I have received an identity reply from a UK workshop member. It is a 1920s "The Midsaw" All in one combination machine.

The machine in question is a very unique cast iron planner that has a main planning function plus an outboard curved planning facility.

Model GMA 144 Test no. 8741 therefore manufactured...

The Wadkin machine is a sanding machine of some sort (I think) but it is missing many parts. The Model is GMA 144 Test 8741.
Can anybody please regognise what it was designed to do ?

The item mentioned above is a copper (I think) vessel mounted on gimbals on a stand and designed to tip 90 degrees in one direction only to discharge its contents through a spout that is on the top...
