Actually the Gifkins jig was reviewed in Fine Woodworking and got the "readers choice" and was rated by far the most user friendly.

Variable spaced dovetails with the Gifkins
Can you make variable spaced dovetails with the Gifkins by only cutting out every other tail and then cut more pin material to make it fit? Difficult to do?
