Seems to be a bit of bias against kit lenses here...lol

When I had my Canon 350D, I would have to agree with the general consensus. The kit lenses take some pretty good shots when they are stopped...

Yes Avery, the 7D has Auto ISO. First couple of shots were set at 100, not much cop being hand held...lol
I then did a couple at 800 but still had a bit of camera shake. So I thought I'd try Auto....

Thanks Ray, I'm pretty pleased with the way they came out. My 350D was horrible at ISO400 and above, so I was a bit worried with using 3200. But the camera has exceeded my expectations in this...

Took my new toy to Jenolan Caves. This is a compressed sample. Only used my 50mm lens, shots were handheld and no flash used. ISO was 3200.

Great looking setup Ed. Intrigued by the Camera AXE. Is that pre-built and programmed? With the multi-trigger, once you set the delay, are results consistent?

Thanks Ed, it was taken inside a bird aviary at Taronga Zoo. ISO was 100 and I used the camera's fill-in flash. Lens used is the 100mm macro.

Thanks guys. It was weird. It hung around like that for a few hours until the sun was coming from the west. I was hoping to get some shots with the sun on it, but as soon as I went outside, it flew...

Thanks mate. I've looking at the HiViz site for a couple of days now since I saw your post. It's something I'm definitely going to explore. How many flashes do you use? I have a canon 580EX Speedlite...

Took this this morning. Shot is angled because I had to stoop to avoid the sun directly into the camera. Fill in flash was used (as you can tell).

Ed, I was wondering what your thoughts are on the multi-trigger? Which inputs do you use and what your setup is?

I used to too Fred, but it is my understanding it's still limited to 800 pixels...

Thanks guys. Looking at my bird book the females and juveniles are rather drab looking, whereas the male is brightly coloured. Seems the way of the things in the bird world :D:D

John, I was wondering whether you have played with the AF Microadjustment custom function? Wish my 350D had the function. My setup exhibits back focus problems, I suspect it's the camera as it does...

No, I didn't export from Google to Web Albums (I think that's what you mean). I used Picasa (PC programme) to upload to Web Albums and Facebook. Picasa will automatically search your PC...

By the way Fred, I've changed my online storage page to Picasa Web albums (address in signature). This has 1GB storage for free and you don't have to compress photos...

Canon and Nikon have DSLR's that have live view. Just go to the manufacturers web pages and have a browse :D:D My Canon 350D doesn't have it, but my next DSLR will.
