May also be worth checking that you are getting good even spread of glue when putting in the tubes. There is very little timber left on a Slimline and this could be an issue too.

Berea's recommendation for the Churchill/El Grande was always 31/64' & 33/64". Ernie, I think, introduced the 13.3 mm off his own bat because the 33/64' was just too tight a hole for the larger tube...

The only time I use CA assembling pens is on the clip end of Slimlines so that there is no risk of the clip moving around and marring the blank. I certainly wouldn't use it again on a capped pen,...

My vote would be for the Jr Statesman too. I think its the most elaborate of the mid size pens and comparable in size to the Sedona, which is always a popular choice for ladies.

Can't go past laser engraving for pen bodies. Very neat and clean, and for multiples, being computer controlled, all identical.

I've made the Perfect Fit and Sierra pencils and they are both a nice quality unit. Another good option is the Cigar, which also comes as a pencil and in either 0.5 or 0.7 lead.

Will be interesting to see them turned into a pen. Looks almost metallic.

It would also be very beneficial to learn how to sharpen your mills. Quite simple with a small diamond stone. They do blunt quickly.
