wow....Fossil, looking back on my original weld they do look pretty shabby!!!

I think one of the most annoying thing I am finding with the stick is that it leaves way too much flux and chipping...

If I get one will definitely be a gas & gasless but I don't see myself geting a Boyle of gas at home. Part of the reason for my wanting to get a mig is because I want to also make a aluminium toolbox...

more importantly...are gasless MIGS going to be obsolete? I dont wanna buy another welder and find that i cannot use it (without gas) in 12 months time...

Those are actually old welds for the frame, the one close up of the bracket actually has 3-4 layers of welds and i did make sure the first one nice and clean with good...

Yeah figured a bevel may help but wouldn't the rod arc to the outer edges of the bevel since that is the shortest path?

you're spot on with the hand shake...i dont have stead hands and i find i have to use both hands with elbow rested on my knees ( seated). The welds first...

Ohh...I think you are correct about the earth as I've clamped too far apart ( on the other end of a 5 foot RHS). In the welds in the picture I did have problems striking arc sometimes when the rod...

well./...when i praticed i managed to get some decent non stop lines, One of the issue i had was try to get the arc to start as it either sticks or produces no spark.
I am using one of them cheap...

The kit looks like it includes everything that you need to fit the axle and springs on ie bearings,hib, u-bolts etc. onlt thing that it doesnt include are wheels...hehe
