Hi Tim,
Have the same saw with 8in CMT blades have no problems with the brake or start up. Can only get 17.95mm on arbour (ABEEE)and still get a full nut,been meaning to look into a longer arbour... -

I use two bushes with my blade,the first one sits...
I use two bushes with my blade,the first one sits inside the inner flange and the blade sits on the other. Used to have a lot of trouble keeping everything together while I tightened the arbour nut.

Gifkin jig won't do blind dovetails but it works...
Gifkin jig won't do blind dovetails but it works well and is easy to set up and use.
Used it on pine and ironbark with good results,worth the extra $$. -
