If the locking cam were not square to the mating surface, it might move a little sideways.

As the other poster said, adjusting the two allen screws should take care of that.

I cut aluminum with a metal cutting blade on my band saw. It does a good jod, and at least I find it easier to control than a hacksaw. And you can use the rip fence to hold a very straight cut....

Just found this Site and really enjoy it.
Has anyone made a homemade rip fence? I am retired and naturally on a reduced income, but would like to improve the rip fence on my 12" Craftsman table...

When ripping a board say about 2' long, about the last 6" or so is burnt by the saw blade. And you can hear additional noise.

What is causing the problem. Using a 12" 80 tooth carbide blade....
