I thought this would be the place to ask the question.
I bought some blue gum which I pushed trough the thicknesser and cleaned it all up. It is pretty green. after the surface dried up I oiled it... -

It is shiny as but as I said I can see brush marks. I tried to thin it in one coat with mineral turps and found it bubbled a fair bit.
My plan is to sand it flat... -

If the weather is good to me I will paint coat number 10 of varnish on my old scruffie.
I did sand the surface flat after most coats but never seem to manage to get a perfect coat. I can see brush... -

I just fitted a new cedar bifold door and used decking oil to oil it. Done 3 coats and now it gets yellow in places on the surface. Should I have used a better quality oil?
