These are my first Fountain Pens I've made and they are for the display at my local Woodcraft Store.

I think they are too gaudy and big and detract from the wood.

Both have 4 coats of Med CA...

Not dumb thinking and I don't do anything with it ... just let it pool up all over the base.

Not as much as you would think.

If and when it gets to be so much I can always replace the base or...

No Bruce, no scoring and they come off easily and because the bush is on the bottom there is no collor at the bottom as it has wicked off.

Hard to answer Harry ... but these were all done yesterday.

It dries enough in 15-20 minutes to re-dip and there are 4 coats on these.

Tired of doing CA finishes do I got out my dipping station and did some pens in the two Waterborne General Finishes I got from Woodcraft.
