Thanks Rowan, I think it will be quite a help. I was surprised how firm it is once it is all together. I cut it out of a sheet of formwork ply ( I think) about 25mm thick.

A week or so back, I came across a drawing/tip/plan for making a pull apart frame that you mount on two saw horses and cut sheets of plywood up. For the life of me I can't remember where I found it....
