I've just had a couple of pattern bits sharpened and, checking with a vernier, there is up to 0.4mm difference between the cutter and bearing... -

I have used a fair bit of 16mm MDF over the last 6 months
Looking at the local pricing, Home Hardware sells 8 by 4s at $30ish per sheet. The same stuff from Bunnings is $35/$36 per sheet.
