Thanks to all who have posted but it appears that the log has no future other than bowl blanks and most turners have no money for blanks so it will end up on the burn heap unless I decide to slab it...

What lengths are you chasing? Most small millers will only be able to cut green for you but 12mm will take no time to dry :) Have you a decent bandsaw? Buy rough sawn 25mm and cut it in half? :)
