Mines pretty consistent, i think it works almost every time. Its never been an issue so have not really taken noticed of it. Also ive only been using it for around 3 months so will see how it works...

May be a little off topic but I use a remote switch available from jaycar - meant for tvs etc but handles my 2hp dust collector not worries. Just works with a remote so not on machine start up... -
