scrap bucket oak with pencil design and old chisel

How do I add pictures

Don't know if I am upto the challenge, generally turn wood, will try to cut glue and sand, some oak from the scrap bucket and a blade from an old chisel

I am looking to turn a carvers mallet, the 2 best bits i have laying around are Iron Bark or Merbau.
Looking for any thoughts or words of wisdom.
