I just got around to opening up my VFD which is made for the 2.2kW spindle, and it has the same missing components.

I got to agree with going with steel/allow over wood for the construction...My full setup cost about 5 1/2 K and the steel for it only cost about $350. Its a very small part of the cost...

It has proven to be a that the VFD is faulty, with it producing an error randomly. Even when the VFD is not making the spindle run. It seems to be heat related as well. If it cools...
