Just wandering when to apply the pickling jell.
When the metal is still really hot , warm or cold.
Do need to scrub it with a s/steel brush.

I use the Zirconated rod with my inverter and it never balls up which I expected but it ends up sort of splitting at the end and makes tigging very difficult.

I had a go at Stainless and found it much easier...
I had a go at Stainless and found it much easier then alloy,the only problem was I had to use s/s mig wire for a filler as that was all I had.

I find I only need the higher amps to get the weld started and then I have to back off to not melt the weld. -

I worked out if I lift the foot peddle up it reduces the heat enough for me to re adjust the filler rod and keep going.

I just bought a 200amp AC/DC tig.
I was going to buy straight Argon so I could weld stainless / alloy and I could also use the same gas on my mig to weld alloy for bigger jobs....
