Cruzi, where can you get this paraffin oil in australia? any main companies selling it you know of?...i plan on making many chopping boards soon and previous ones have simply had vegetable oil rubbed...

may i ask tho, did you just rip and dock those components and glue the strips back on as is, or did you prepare them for glueing by buzzing and thicknessing prior to glueing?...

if you get desperate, Trak Furniture (associated with the Minda Disability organisation), here in SA, make up solid timber panels to whatever size jointed with a lightening joint and at 60mm...

the joint itself coulda been tighter but i glued and clamped so its all good...no gaps..but still a bit tighter would have...

I think it was a bad combo, yesterday, of many things seeming to go wrong :p was re-arranging the shed which seemed to take most of the day too, so i was a bit flustered...

today i bought a 18" super jig....need it for some drawers im doing for 2 besides, im doing for a mate..

pretty annoying tho, got the model Makita 3612, and was given the 703 guidebush for the...

an update on my doings...

been making some pine bedsides for a mate...at the drawers stage and ive made a silly mistake.

so i wasnt keen to hand make the...

nah i'll be a sponge for a while me thinks....wanna explore the kitchen and shopfitting side of the trade....then maybe start something of my own specialising in WHO knows what :P....

oh also, ive got a laminated panel of who knows what (pretty maggot; the finish is terrible now, so dunno what it is,,, neeeds a sand)...it was an ex- harris scarf board room table and whoever made...
