I'm getting a lot of marks like that on some camphor Laurel boards I acquired. I thought it might be some sort of borer making them, but a guy I know reckons he's never seen a borer make tracks like...

Just getting back to working with wood after a 20 odd year hiatus. Nice to see sites like this exist.
