Anyway, I'm not too comfortable pinning it and the upholstery work (removing it and putting it back) will...

The chances are that you have wax and maybe some honey in there now that will attract more. Call an apiarist to collect the swarm, maybe clear out the wax etc and see if they can make some...

Yeah I entertained the thought but really it was easier and most probably cheaper to buy them at the quantities I need.

I had the same thing happen but on a smaller piece. I turned it upside down, put blocks under it for airflow and went away for a few days. Sorted itself out quite well.:)

I have never used poxy for general woodworking, only on boats.

There are two that I have used, microspheres that thickens the poxy to make it easy to fill and sand etc.
