Solved
I have not tested the VFD readback, but I have solved the VFD not saving values issue.
PD001 (paramater lock) was set to 1 = lock
I changed it to "0" = unlock - and now parameters are saving!

As mentioned in another thread.. It turns out the cutter was never designed to be run at the 34,000 rpm it was running at. A lack of labelling on the cutter packaging was partially to blame.
