Root gap - 1.5mm
Root face - 1.5mm
Rootpass @ 75 amps 3.2mm Lincoln pipeliner...

There's the root and one filling pass which brings it to about 2.5mm under the bevel. Ohh yer good pointil try that next week nearly completely fill the bevel before capping, I was having a problem...

The fact of using a grinder isn't the problem mainly wanted to see comparison pictures of pieces that have passed or would pass.
