I'm about to start construction of a new deck, and since there are so many experienced peeps in this forum, thought I'd post up my plan/design and request any comments (good and bad) before I go...

I was all set to go with my structual T/P for my decking when the last 2 places said to use H3 wet sawn.
Whilst it is a little cheaper, I'm not sure of the difference with the dry rougher header...

I always slap paint on all timber and where there are joins/cuts etc. Anything to keep moistire away from the timber.

The quality (if you're referring to the $2.20 of 1600 l/m) appears to be A grade - then again I looked but not closely.
I would have def thought about it if I had some peeps I knew wanting...

It is usually graded at the mills.
B grade would have mould (which apparently can be cleaned off), marked/scratched etc.
You could have a close look at the wood. If you know what to look for and...

We have felt on most things in our house too. It was a piece of furniture I was shifting through that did the damage. I was being impatient and have now got a mark to prove it!
