Yep it looks pretty much the same to me in scratch depth and coarseness.

I sand to 400 for starters then just use 400 between coats and go from 1500 to 12000 in micromesh when after the final...

1500 micromesh is pretty coarse.

I use 400 between coats but do not see a problem with 1500 - it still looks pretty scratchy.

There won't be enough money about for both.

Put simply if the November option is good value for money the May will die.
