Barnes resin have Z=poxy in 5 min and 30 min cure,cheaper than araldite ,but there is freight to be added to the equation. Timbecon have the same product at a much better price.

I was fortunate to get a Chinese Elm about 18 years ago from a local arborist ,to me a very good timber to turn,similar grain and features as English Elm but a much nicer colour ....

Lip eze applied to split on thumb or finger as often as needed,usually only for a couple of days,cover with a band aid if necessary.

Most likely boron deficiency,looking at the rest of the plant,there may also be other problems. Check soil ph before planting your rotation crop,
