just found BGB Marine Plywood down on the Gold Coast who does plywood



It's AA graded and way cheaper than plyco and deliver to the door (with plyco I was going to have to pick up from depot)....

yeah I don't mind the melamine but I just like the look of the ply and think it looks more premiun , also I've never been able to work out how to cut the melamine sheets without chipout.

thanks elanjacobs, yeah factored that in. I figured since I'm doing it myself I can spend a bit more on materials. I'm planning on this kitchen lasting me out so going for durability.

oh and also I was thinking of leaving the live edges of the ply if I like the look of it when I cut it rather than using tape and my understanding is I would get less pits from marine

wow thanks hurcorh! I just worked out how many square meters I would need and divided that by the square meterage of one sheet of ply which of course doesn't take into account waste and the likes....
