    Default Two little fun jobs

A little bowl/platter made from some camphor laurel I found during a clean up, I don't like cleaning up and easily get distracted. The camphor laurel up here doesn't have much colour but makes the shed smell good. They are both about 250mm diameter and about 50mm deep. The banding and motifs are shop made and both have had two sprayed coats of lacquer.

Got excited and forgot to add the motif.

The banding inlay certainly lifts them out of the ordinary. I like them both and think that the second one does not need the central motif.
