    Default Latest from the shed

    Hi,
Some time back I made a lidded bowl where the finial
resembled a hose fitting. I decided to remodel it to
    something a little more pleasing.

I have attached a photo of the original turning.

In addition I have attached a photo of the remodelled
item (Cyprus Pine), a bowl (Blackwood) and
    another lidded bowl (Sassafras).

The remolded version looks good Allan.

I tend to look at the photos first and then read the story and when I looked at the first photo I could not work out why it looked odd to me and a son as i read hose fitting it clicked. Good choice to reshape

    Ray:
Finish was Minwax Wipe on Poly on the Sassafras and
Shellawax plus Glow on the other two.
    Thanks all for your comments.

    Thanks Michael

I only changed the finial for your sake.
"Now it looks like a dummy" - gee I dunno
what to make of it now. Might have to get
rid of the top and just make it a bowl ... mmm.
