tool shop
Hi All,
I'm in clayton victoria and was wondering if anyone knows of a good shop wich will sell me wood turning tools, i.e., chisels, chucks etc? I was recently given a lathe but dont have any tools to start using it yet!

Hi Mingus,
Try http://www.thewoodsmith.com.au/ or http://www.carbatecvic.com.au.
Both of them sell woodturning gear and are quite close to you. Woodsmith is mainly mail order and their opening hours are limited. Carbatec sell pretty much everything and open 6 days a week.

You can also try the venerable Jim Carroll. His site is: http://au.store.yahoo.com/cws-store/index.html
Jim is in Drysdale (Vic) and also does mail order.
WARNING: Do not go to his shop ! The last two times I went there the Woodworking demons loaded me up with tools and other goodies and severely dented my credit card.
