    Default Wood filler

    G;day
I am new to this forum ,and I am not sure if I am in the right section .
My question is I have a wooden stock that I wish to build up ,appox 20 mm
It has to be strong but workable with hand tools ,It will take a fair amount of filler to do the job ,and it must bond well with the wood ,
thank you for your time Chris

    20mm? That's a LOT of filler!

Is there any reason you can't just laminate on another piece of wood and work that to size?

Or am I misreading what you mean?
I may be weird, but I'm saving up to become eccentric.

Laminate on a new bit of timber, carve/sand/file/route to desired shape.

If that's not a possibility, then use some Botecote epoxy with their medium strength filler - mind you, it won't look like timber in any large area (looks more like that pinkish plastic that shop mannequins are made out of).
