Fantastic work Brody. The accents really do finish off the bowl. Good job in picking accents that show off the grain too. I'd like to try that one day.

Hi Brody
A great bowl I love it the shape the accent and top class finish. It makes me jealous when I see the work of the likes of you Lonepine the hockey playing turner from the Hunter area and the young guy from the West with his jarrah platter a couple of years ago, I've been turning for twice their ages and their work would give me good competition. With young turners like yourselves the future of turning in Australia looks good.
Cheers TonyTony

Broda,
Well done and very timely. I am in the process of doing something similar with a platter.Inspiration exists, but it has to find you working. — Pablo Picasso

I like this allot, the form of the bowl looks great, i like how you've done the chuck recess- the finish looks good except for (and it may be a trick of the light) in picture 1 and 3 1/2" down from the rim i can see radial lines- these could be sanding lines or a build up of finish or nothing at all but its somthing to be aware of.
best wish's

Beautiful simple clean bowl... this piece has just inspired me to go and start laminating a blank
It's only a mistake if you don't learn from it.

I appreciate all your comments
George- thanks for that I didn't notice that when I was turning. Not real sure what it is, I think it might be just a tiny bit of tearout.Brody- 15 - Lake Cathie

Wow, great stuff Brody. Yep, those pinstripes are a great addition to a simple but elegant shape. Well done.
