    Default off centre turning

It has been quite a long time since I visited you all. I shall not list the problems I faced. They are over now (I hope).
Its nice to be back with you
I started turning again and a friend of mine did a (bad) video using his photo camera.

Well .......I'm so brand new to woodturning....I had no idea you could do that on a lathe
And is that a Vicmarc? When I was in the picture framing business, Italian machinery was very nice to have.
So it's a credit to Vicmarc that an Italian has an Australian lathe.

Not just one, I think I saw two 175's and a 300 lurking in the background.

Many thanks for the kind words.
The avatar is the picture of the lathe I started on some 53 years ago….

What a good idea to redo the video in English. It might me more funny because of the accent.

    Cliff,
    thank you

You have good sight. Yes I turn on Vicmarc. I have 6 for the school. I am convinced, after having turned on so many lathes that Vicmarc is really the best. three 175, two 300 and one 100.
I liked them so much that I am an importer of these beauties.

    Thank you

Claude your accent didn't bother me when we met in Verona so I don't see ir being a problem for anyone.

In order to help me put my neurons back in place at this time of the day could you remind me your real name. Are you the turner of the fantastic off centre miniature goblet with two captive rings?

    I wish!!! But

Ana and I dropped int o see you while we were in Italy. You had to come and find us in town because we missed a turnoff or three trying to get to your workshop. We had lunch and then you kindly escorted us to our digs for the night.
