I have had a little time in the shed since the Working With Wood Show
and having picked up some items from Jim Carroll here are some of the
    results.

Two red gum battery operated tea lights.
    one she-oak calculator, and
one toothpick/needle holder. (not sure of the wood).

Although I have red gum on hand this was the first time I have tried
to turn it. Results were ok but filthy stuff to work with - too dusty.

By the way the lamp on the right is up straight - it is just the camera
angle that has distorted it. (My story and I am sticking to it).

I like that little calculator stand, that could be just the ticket for my missus!

The tea lights are cool too, are they LCD?

    Very nice!

    Thanks for your comments Greg.

Tell your missus you will make her a stand for a calculator and
that she can "count on it".

The tea lights last quite a long time. They have three very small
button batteries. These lights are usually available at Target
and some of the $2 type stores and are inexpensive.

    Neat little lamps Allan

Made myself one of those toothpick holders to carry in my briefcase - very convenient
