    Default Camphor Bowl

    G'Day All
Finished this one last night and thought I would share it with you
Camphor Laurel (from the shed full that I scored some months ago)
it is 300 in dia and stands 100 high it is not to clear in the photo but it has a small base more like a " base ring " it is only 4mm wide and about the same high the curve of the bowl continues under this ring
The finish is sanded to 600 ,EEE, hard hut wax and a light finish with soft bees wax
    Love your comments

Beautiful. Love both the timber and the shape of the bowl.

There was a bit of tear out under the lip of the inside but only required 120# sanding and wax about 2 hours it was rough turned and put in the metho bath for 2 weeks and has been wrap in newspaper for about 4 months since
