Stringy Bark I think
Hi Every one
I 'm back after a spell nothing to show been doing a few orders for small items etc, got this burl in a batch from a collector he couldent tell me which state he got it or the species so I'm guessing its a Stringy bark of some sort I think the colour is wrong for black butt, its 18 inches by 3 inches finished with several coats of orange oil and then final coat of orange and tung for a harder finish.
cheers TonyTony

Nice one! Is the black line burned in, or is it a marker pen?

Hi SJM
The vee is only about a mm in size and I use it as a guide for the laminex no point just push the edge into the grouve if the timber is too hadd you wont get a black mark ,
cheers TonyTony
