Gooday everyone from the USA (does that mean you will call me a Yank?

I am fairly new to your forum with only one post, but post quite a bit on a woodworking site here.

I have been ecouraged to post more of my work, but since what I want to share has quite a few pictures, it is easier to post links to my posts up here.

The first is to show my first attemps at model making (I call them "Toys for Big Boys"). This post includes a 1929 Ford roadster, a 1928 Chevy Pickup, and a 1932 Chevy coupe.

Welcome to WWF. The folks on here are great people. They are very supportive and welcoming. I am glad you decided to post your work. As I said before great job. Your attention to detail is awesome.

If you plan on building anything in the future how about a Work in Progress on here. We all love to see how its done its done by great craftsman such as yourself.

Wow and Wow....what beautiful toymaking skills you have.
They all look great, beaut deal and top timber selection for contrast.
Do you work off plans or do you work by sight off photos?
Do you have any WIP photos and or notes on how you did the build?
How long have you been making such excellant toys and do have any other toys that you've made?

Excellent models. great selection of timbers and their colourings. Attention to detail is really outstanding.

These were made from plans from "Toys & Joys", but I make my wheels instead of buying them (I will make a post at some time on how I make the wheels - step by step).

I have one other post in this forum. It was a reply in a post by BYC called "I got 3 plans" In my reply, I have a link to a post I made called "Woodnet - Toys for Big Boys - Version 3 with extras" It shows a 1929 Ford Stake Bed Truck with a LOT of WIP pictures. I invite everyone to check it out.

I started building toys approx. just 9 months ago, but have been doing woodworking for around 50 years (yes, I am old )

I have several others that I have made and will be making additional posts in the future.

I live in the state of Kansas which is in the middle of the continental USA. Kansas is where Dodge City is located in case you have seen any of the TV westerns shows called "Gunsmoke". ( I was actually born in Dodge City - many years ago )

PS - I'm used to love the Gunsmoke series with Marshall Dillon who had a fancy special build rifle, [I think I've got that right].

The only one that I kept track of was the 1929 Ford Stake Bed Truck - 60 hours.
I would estimate the Ford Roadster, the Chevy Pickup, and the Chevy Coupe would be somewhere around 50 to 55 hours each.
