Brown Mallee
Brown Mallee platter/shallow bowl perhaps more carving than turning. Size 12x15x3 approx. finished with DO and some buffing.
Pics arn't the best, have yet to finish my light tent.
tried to rotate pic, didnt workInspiration exists, but it has to find you working. — Pablo Picasso

Yes more carving than turning, you're pretty good at carving, as I see.

Interesting piece, very well finished. Would be interested as to how you got that shape.

Definately agree with wheelinround, it seems to be an optical illusion as I can see the middle pic is the base (flat spot) but the other two do not seem to have a dish but more convex surface.
Clever, very clever - how much turning was involved then?Dragonfly

Hughie you bugger that was clever.I can see the shallow concave but only if I hold down the Ctrl button and roll the mouse wheel forward the picture increases in size roll the wheel backwards decreases the piture size. Once again you have excelled Regards Roger C

Tried Roger's trip - yeah, it works, you can see the concave of the dish.

Fantastic. Great carving, smooth lines, and outstanding finish. The optical trickery is added bonus. Raising the bar.
