    Default Segmented square Corian bowl.

Using some small off cuts of Corian I made this segmented square shallow bowl.

The pieces were glued together using medium CA glue and left to cure for a day before trimming square on the table saw. I held it on Cole jaws to centre the piece and clamped it to it with some small clamps in order to turn the shallow inside . Size is 130*40mm. No machine sanding but all hand sanded and polished.

    Here is the front view:

    and finally the bottom.

Took a while but it will look nice on my desk to hold paperclips, etc.

    Enjoy.

    Thumbs up

I'reminded of that line from Monty Python and the Quest for the Hol Grail:

    "What are you doing?"

    " Averting my eyes!"

    Like it!!

Wow, funky. I like it! This corian stuff looks interesting, is it heat resistant enough to perhaps turn an ashtray out of?

I've made a few slimline pens from it, but getting hold of bright colours is not easy.

As Corian is a type of plastic I doubt that it could be used for ashtrays.
