Thread: Segmented square Corian bowl.

Segmented square Corian bowl.
Using some small off cuts of Corian I made this segmented square shallow bowl.
The pieces were glued together using medium CA glue and left to cure for a day before trimming square on the table saw. I held it on Cole jaws to centre the piece and clamped it to it with some small clamps in order to turn the shallow inside . Size is 130*40mm. No machine sanding but all hand sanded and polished.

Took a while but it will look nice on my desk to hold paperclips, etc.

Licquorice Allsorts come to mind hehe, I got some corian at one time with a view to making pens , no colors as bright as those though hehe, Cheers ~ John

Wow, funky. I like it! This corian stuff looks interesting, is it heat resistant enough to perhaps turn an ashtray out of?
